How do I create my first trip?
From the Notebooks tab, tap "New" at the top right. Choose a title, one or more destinations (multi-city possible with Trip Pass or Premium), a start date, and the number of nights per destination. You can then add stops (restaurants, sights, hotels…) from the Map tab.
What's the difference between Free, Trip Pass, and Premium?
Free: 1 active trip, 5 stops max, 1 traveler — to discover the app.
Trip Pass (€4.99): unlocks a specific trip in unlimited mode (stops, travelers, multi-destination). One-time purchase, not a subscription.
Premium (€9.99/month or €79.99/year): all your trips unlimited, plus PDF export, advanced sharing, and all upcoming features.
Change your plan from Profile → Subscription.
How do I add a stop on the map?
Go to the Map tab, tap the search bar, and look up a place (restaurant, monument, café…). Select the result in the list that appears, then tap "Add to trip". The stop is created without a day assigned — you'll plan it later via the Days tab.
How do I plan a stop on a specific day?
From the Days tab, select the day you want, then tap the + button. Choose an existing (unplanned) stop and confirm. The app suggests a default time you can adjust.
You can also reorder stops within a day via drag-and-drop, or mark a stop as "done".
How do I mark a stop as completed?
In the list of stops for a day, tap the ✓ icon to the right of the stop. It moves to the bottom of the list with a green check, and the numbering of remaining stops is recalculated automatically.
For past trips, all planned stops automatically appear as completed in Memories.
🎫 Tickets and bookings
How do I import a PDF ticket or .pkpass?
From Mail, AirDrop, or the Files app: long-press the ticket → Share → RoamDay. The app automatically detects the type (Apple Wallet, PDF, image) and offers to attach it to a trip.
You can also manually import a ticket from Tickets → New ticket.
The QR code of my ticket doesn't display?
RoamDay supports 4 formats: QR Code, Aztec, PDF417, and Code 128. If your ticket uses one of these formats and nothing displays, check that OCR correctly read the reference (edit the ticket in the app to fix it).
If the format is exotic (e.g., EAN barcode), display the original PDF directly via the "View PDF" button.
My ticket notifications don't appear?
Make sure you've enabled notifications in iOS Settings → RoamDay → Notifications. RoamDay schedules reminders D-1 and 30 min before the event for each ticket with a date and time.
For Air France flights, notifications are also generated automatically with real-time status (on time / delayed / cancelled).
📷 Photos and memories
Why don't my photos appear in Memories?
RoamDay associates photos to trips based on capture date and GPS location (if enabled on your iPhone). Check that:
- You've granted access to photos in iOS Settings → Privacy → Photos → RoamDay
- Trip dates cover the period of your photos
- If your photos don't have GPS, RoamDay uses date-based heuristics to distribute them across destinations
How do I create an iOS Photos album from Memories?
From the Memories tab of a trip, tap "Create an album in Photos". Confirm, and a native "RoamDay · [trip]" album is created in your Photos app with all the trip's images. You can then share via AirDrop, Messages, or create an iCloud shared album.
How do I display my stops on the Memories map?
In Memories, tap the "Map" toggle at the top. You'll see all your pins (stops + hotels) with a green ✓ badge on completed stops. Tap a pin to see its details.
🗺️ Map and navigation
How do I see all my stops at the same time on the map?
On the Map tab, tap the "All" button to the left of the D1/D2/D3 buttons. All trip pins are displayed (planned or not), without an itinerary route.
How do I start in-app navigation to a stop?
Tap a stop's pin, then "Navigate" in the card that opens. RoamDay launches turn-by-turn navigation with voice, like Google Maps but inside the app. You can also open the route in Apple Maps or Google Maps.
Weather doesn't appear for my destination?
Weather is available as soon as the destination has GPS coordinates. Check that the city is properly geocoded (the pin should appear on the map). RoamDay uses HERE Weather for the next 7 days and Open-Meteo for days 8–16.
👥 Sharing and friends
How do I invite a friend to a trip?
From the trip notebook, tap "Invite a friend". Enter their email — an invitation email is sent. As soon as they accept (by clicking the link or opening RoamDay), they appear in your travelers list.
The Free plan allows 1 friend invitation per trip. For more, switch to Trip Pass or Premium.
How do I delete my account and all my data?
Go to Profile → Privacy → Delete my account. Double confirmation is required. This action is irreversible: all your data (trips, photos, tickets, friends) is permanently erased within 30 days.
💳 Subscriptions and payments
How do I manage my Premium subscription?
Manage your subscription directly from iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → RoamDay. That's where you change the plan (monthly ↔ annual), pause, or cancel your subscription.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period — you keep Premium access until that date.
Can I get a refund?
Under French law, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal. To exercise it, request a refund directly from Apple: iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → RoamDay → Request a refund.
Apple handles the request directly (RoamDay doesn't manage refunds).
